Altor BioScience fitted-out their existing campus to support the development and production of their immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer and viral infections.

The five-building campus was near construction complete and IPS continued with the design, building, and commissioning of the interior fit-out. The schedule was the primary driver for this project; IPS executed a fast-track, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) plan, with an emphasis on utilizing design-assist programs.

IPS partnered with local subcontractors to leverage their knowledge of the local trades to get the project moving at a quick pace. This high level of coordination throughout all phases of the project allowed construction activities to commence while designs were being finalized.

Building 3 was repurposed for use as a CGMP cell culture clinical pilot plant. The first floor is entirely CGMP clinical operating space. The second floor is reserved for support space including MTS & micro-QC lab space, CGMP clean & wash space, office space and utility space.

This project had unique technical challenges related to working with a small foot-print, space was at a premium. Every element was carefully placed in a well thought-out design and material flow plan to allow for maximum utilization of space.
