IPS, Sisk, Bosch, and Bavarian Nordic staff celebrated the vial filling line SAT (site acceptance test), for the Bavarian Nordic site in Kvistgård, Denmark, being finalised and approved.
There were 30 staff directly involved in the SAT across all four organisations, with staff members from both IPS EMEA and the Blue Bell corporate headquarters. IPS are thrilled to be working in a collaborative and integrated way with colleagues across the organisation; bringing together a blend of expertise in design & CQV.
The SAT marks a major milestone for Bavarian Nordic’s fill/finish facility for unit dose vaccines and diluent production. The facility is designed for annual production of 40MM doses of vaccine and combines class-leading technologies in barrier isolation technology, single-use disposable systems, and thermal and VHP inactivation of process waste streams.
This milestone marks the commissioning phase on the filling line complete, and the project team are now moving into qualification.
