IPS announces the appointment of Mr. David Buynak as West Coast Regional Compliance Manager, based in IPS’ Irvine, California office. Mr. David Buynak is a well-known Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the pharmaceutical industry and possesses over thirty (30) years of experience in a variety of strategic and technical positions within manufacturing, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and product security.
Before joining IPS, Mr. David Buynak held senior leadership positions providing plant and project management, strategic development, regulatory compliance for the US and global agencies, and validation planning/execution. Mr. Buynak also brings a depth of expertise in the area of serialization from his most recent position as Traceability Program Leader for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP. In this role, he was responsible for ensuring serialization adoption plans were developed and executed at Americas supply sites to meet legislative traceability requirements. Mr. Buynak was also AstraZeneca’s representative in key industry serialization work groups, including PhRMA Supply Chain Security Work Group and Serialization Technical Experts.
Mr. Buynak has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and has completed the Manufacturing Professionalism Programme from the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK. He maintains affiliations and is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (PhRMA), the Pharmaceutical Distribution Security Alliance (PDSA), and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
