Master Planning, Concept Engineering, Detail Design, Construction Management, Commissioning and Validation for new Processing Suites, including the installation of a self-discharging Nutsche Pressure Filter Dryer (PFD) and supporting equipment. The suite was designed for handling Class 1B flammable liquids. It is also designed for high-level containment (<10 micrograms/ cu m) of API products.
PFD is located in a retrofitted clean room. New mother liquor and solvent wash tanks, along with CIP facilities, are provided by the project. The PFD was purchased as a packaged unit and included the vessel with agitator and dust filter, vessel temperature control unit, solvent recovery and vacuum system, hydraulic power unit, instrumentation and controls, and discharge isolators required to meet the required containment level. On the product discharge end of the PFD, the design includes a product transfer system, mill and pack-off head / drum containment system. In addition, the system receives product from the pressure filter dryer/milling stack-up using a continuous liner system that fills drums with 25-50 kg charges.
