IPS employed a single-source EPCMV approach, including fit-out, target costing designing, value engineering, fast-track construction and validation of a state-of-the-art, 75,000sf cGMP Mammalian Cell Culture Bioproduction facility delivered in a short cycle, 12 months after groundbreaking. Project included integration of multi-product manufacturing systems such as:
The downstream areas were designed with flexibility to process a range of throughput as well as several different types of purification sequences. Class 10,000 and Class 100,000 cleanrooms are located in the manufacturing area, along with Class 100 Laminar Flow Hoods in both the manufacturing, cell prep and laboratory areas. In addition, IPS engineered and constructed utilities, HVAC, fire protection, electrical and fire alarm systems. IPS Process Architects programmed the facility for current and future functional needs and space requirements while balancing against competing budgetary objectives. Modular layouts and space designs were employed to expand available space. Project was completed with extreme cost efficiency.
